04/02/2019 The newestchapter in the story of our neighbouring plot. All the trees have now been cleared from what was once a working nursery and left to become dense woodland. All the trees have now been uprooted and cleared into a huge pile of wood debris in the centre of the land. We can now expect a huge bonfire sometime in the near future, smothering us in smoke and ash debris.

Fire Engine Arriving
Following are photographs of the fire brigade attempting to get on site. These are picture of the 10 minutes it took to negotiate the first corner.

on 10th September. An indication of how caring Countrywide are about our infrastructure.
Work on Land Next to us
Sometime during March 2017 work started clearing the old Nursery beside Grove Park by early April work had progressed a pace.
Now in October that area with planning for a Nursery has progressed to this. The local Council is aware.
Work begins on repair to the Boundary Fence Oct 2017
At the end of Oct 2017 work commences on the repair of our boundary fence after months of the GPRA and individual residents complaining about the parless state of repair behind their property.
Two workmen have arrived, Unannounced, and are dependent on a mobile phones translator to communicate with residents.
28/10/2017 Work begins on No 1
Started on a Friday and left exposed over the weekend with no explanation to the resident concerned.will they be back on Monday one wonders? This property is occupied by a very elderly gentleman who is partially blind there are now deep, predominantly unprotected, holes outdide the back door of his property.
29/10/2017 Work begins on No 15
Saturday work has been abandoned at No 1 for the lack of water to mix concrete. We imagine that there was some expectation that householders would provide water for the work. (As these properties are all using metered water and are already in dispute with Countrywide over biling arrangements. Co-operation is unlikely we suspect). So work begins on No 15. It in now clear that the boundary fence is not going to be replace but more a "Making good" maintenance program is taking place. The rotten bits of the supporting posts are being replaced with concrete posts which are being bolted to what is left of the present uprights. It remains to be seen what arrangements are being made for the gravel boards at the bottom of the fences to keep vermin out. We will also have to wait and see what arrangements are being put in place to make good the many rotten arris rails.
Work on number 15 has halted and the workmen have commenced digging at number 13 their forte is definitely digging holes because holes are appearing all round the site without any apparent schedule of work or communication with the home owners. I understand that concrete posts are to go into the holes sometime in the future and are being prepared for their purpose by being sawn into smaller lengths the sawing seems to be completed behind number 15 with the workmen using number 15's electricity without any permission, explanation or offer of compensation. This is not just rude it is an offence to abstract electricity without permission.

A person who dishonestly uses without due authority, or dishonestly causes to be wasted or diverted, any electricity shall on conviction on indictment be liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years."
30/10/2017 Work begins on No 13
Our two intrepid diggers have now turned their attention to the rear of number 13. here are a few picture of how it looked before they arrived with there spades.
The pictures below illustrates how number 13's back garden looked after the chaps had completed their days work and gone of home for their tea. The occupier of number 13 is an elderly widow who has two small dogs for company. The dogs are now having to be kept indoors because they are small and the holes are a dangerous hazzard for them. You will observe from these photographs that the occupier had replaced the rough gravel with expensive Cotswold Stone which enhanced her garden experience. You will also notice the state of a selection of the Arris rails.
It is now 3rd November and the rear now looks as follows.

05/11/2017 Below is illustrated where the work has progressed behind No 13. The rotting uprights are now almost supported by full length concrete posts which are imaginatively placed to make the rotting arris rails difficult to replace. It may be that as this is simply work in progress and there is some other bold and cunning plan that will render the fence fit for purpose. Keep watching this space for the next exciting episode..
07/11/2017 The work now appears to be finished but it's difficult to tell because the workmen don't communicate so they may be back. Meanwhile, the photographs below illustrate the position so far. It will be interesting to discover what responsibility Countrywide take regarding the replacement of the original Cotswold stone feature which their workmen so comprehensively destroyed and the area now restored with all the stone and gravel mixed together. The rotting fence is now firmly erect and it will be intersting to see how long it is before the rotten arris rails give way and the residents are left with perfectly spaced concrete posts and no fence.
Here is an example of what happens when you employ amateur workmen. Who dont understand what happens when you screw into rotten wood.
27/12/2017 Today we had rain. Granted it was a downpour for a couple of hours but nevertheless we are paying for surface water drainage and here is pictorial evidence of the outcome. it is now 3 days later and there are large puddles remaining
17/01/2018 Following the high winds of the day and evening. Parts of the fence we have been asking the site owners to replace due to serious rotting has now blown down and is laying on our neighbours property
05/11/2018 Finally someone arrives to make good the boundary fence and commences work. These are the first Photographs of the working.

13/11/2018 This is a sample of the refurbished Fence. You might be forgiven for not noticing an actual improvement.
21/11/2018 This is damage to a residents property as a result of fence painting. It is worth noting that the contractor thought it acceptable to "spray paint" during a high wind. He did do some cleaning up after he had painted but this is how No 3 was left.

04/02/2019 Here is further evidence of rubbish being tipped onto the land and joining with the remains of the felled trees no doubt to contribute to whatever toxic fumes the upcoming fire will generate.
As neighbours to this land we have no idea of what is planned and while we are in contact with the Council Planning office they will show no positive interest until it seems permission is sought.
06/02/2019 As predicted the attempts to set the three heaps on fire commences in the late afternoon. The wood being very wet was reluctant to ignite but was encouraged by the throwing of some liquid out of buckets which caused flares but little sustainable fire. However by the time it had got dark and the people had left, one of the fires took hold and began to burn well. The fire brigade were called at about 6.30, attempted to put the fire out with a long water hose from the engine but were unable to completely extinguish it. They left at about 10.00pm when it was raining hard but the fire sustained and is still alight some 15 hours later.
30/10/2018 A new development after many months of no activity we now have what appears to be fly tipping followed by huge fires burning off the results of the tipping. A fire was started today which at one stage had flames reaching 20 foot into the air and giving of foul smelling smole and fumes. This fire continues to smolder the following day. The Fire brigade attended but were unable to attend to it.
12/02/2019 Issues with car parking at the entrance to the Park. When two vehicles park in the area designated for visitor parkingit creates a bottleneck that forces cars onto the property of home No.1.
16/02/2019 A variety of Photographs showing the developing scene of changes. The ever growing wood piles (There are trees, all huge). the placing of another fence backing onto the Parks own Boundary Fence and about 6 inches away from it. How painting and maintenance is expected to take place is a mystery. Clearly there is no joined up thinking. And a leisure caravan has also been parked on the site.
27/02/2019 As predicted another round of burning has commenced at first light this morning. Here are an range of photographs whish show the starting of the fires which have burned all of the 27 and still continue to burn and smoke. Some smoke being black with an acrid smell indicating that plastic is being burnt. And continues to burn on the 28th. Complaints have been made to the Council, Environmental health, our MP Stephen Barklay and the Fire Brigade none of which appear to either have any influence or interest in the situation residents of the Park find themselves in.
28/03/2019 Another round of burning has commenced this morning. This is probably the last of it as there will be nothing left to burn. Nevertheless it is yet another day when we as neighbours are obliged to stay within our homes to avoid the smoke, smell and constant ash rain which descends on our cars and generally makes a mess. Unsuprisingly the burnt ash and some top soil is being deposited in the Magazine Lane end of the area which was a deep ditch, intended, I suspect, to be the water run of culvert for what was a Nursery/Orchard. The future of this land is unknown according to the Planning Office?
01/04/2019 More evidence that the dyke at the Magazine end of the land is being filled in and we also have a new fire.
10/01/2020 The following photographindicate the the quality of the lands directly to the West of Grove Park ability to drain or soak away rainwater. The first four pictures were taken on the 22/12/2019 and the last four of the same parcel of land taken on 10/01/2020.
